Average points per game: all Milan coaches after Allegri
Four years after Massimiliano Allegri, the last coach to win the Scudetto, left AC Milan it’s time to review the statistics of the ones who followed.
After the departure of Massimiliano Allegri, the bench of AC Milan has been a territory of defeats, sackings or burning disappointments. All those who succeeded were unable to remain in charge for more than 18 months.
Today Tuttosport has published a report, in terms of average points obtained, on the six coaches of AC Milan who from January 2014 till today have been given the difficult task to lead the Rossoneri team, which is definitely experiencing a historical period definitely downward compared to the glories of the past. For the points won per game the best remains Clarence Seedorf, former Dutch midfielder who was called by Silvio Berlusconi to replace the fired Allegri: an average of 1.84 points per game, but this was not enough to avoid his sacking at the end of the season.
Seedorf is followed in this special ranking by Vincenzo Montella, with an average of 1.60 points, and by Sinisa Mihajlovic who instead boasts 1.53 points per game. On the other hand, the two former red and black midfielders Cristian Brocchi and Gennaro Gattuso: both Berlusconi’s proteges, are those who have the lowest points average but at the same time have led Milan for less time than their colleagues. Both are stuck at 1.33 as the average, but for Gattuso there will be more time and space to improve, given the progress shown by his team in recent games.
